Reduced yields led to incredible fruit quality in 2011. Our vineyard crews worked diligently to drop unevenly ripened fruit and the occasional rot. The grapes we harvested made balanced wines at lower sugar with full maturity due to long hang time. Our first pick occurred on October 1st, a surprise rain event greeted us shortly afterwards and put harvest on hold until October 15th. All of our fruit weathered the storm bearing exceptional quality.
